Wash. man says wife fatally shot as he cleans his gun

SHELTON, Wash. (AP) - The Mason County, Washington, sheriff's office says a Shelton-area man called 911 to say his wife was fatally shot when his gun went off accidentally as he cleaned it. The sheriff's office says the man called about 5 p.m. Monday. The woman reportedly was shot in the chest and later died.
